Hi gang,

I haven't had much time to make projects or do much video editing lately, but I did get another card done and put it on YouTube yesterday. It is a birthday card made with some fun Summer colors. Here is the picture of it.

I am still behind and haven't compiled the recipe to put on the blog, but the dimensions are explained in the video. and I will update this when I get it all typed out.  Here is the video.

I also have a bunch of retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets that I am going to sell. I'll get a list and put them here on the blog first before trying to list them on eBay or something.

Thank you to my new customers who have found me on the Stampin' Up! website or on YouTube and have been making orders. I appreciate your business and  hope you love the products.

More later.

Hi gang,

Sorry I haven't updated the blog in 8 days. I did post to YouTube last week and the videos are getting some hits but I didn't discuss them here so here goes. Hopefully I will get another couple of videos up today.

Three of my four videos from last weekend had to do with Plate Cards. I did a video explaining what they are and showing some of the cards I have made over the last year in my personal scrapbooking. Basically what they are is a home decor item. I take a square dessert plate and display it on a small plate easel. In the middle of the plate I have velcro dots which hold the Plate Cards. I have made Plate Cards for different seasons, holidays, special occasions etc. Here is a picture of my favorite Plate Card which is for Easter.

I need to give credit for this idea to Kelly DeSoto, who introduced me to the Plate Card Idea. It is not my own, but many of the cards are.

I won't do a demo video of this card because the stamp I used is now retired. I am thinking about taking some of the better cards which use retired stamps and selling kits to make them. I would prestamp them and mail them out. Let me know if you would be interested in something like that.

The video that shows the different cards I have made is below. Not all of the cards were used with Stampin' Up! products but I plan to redesign them so that I can demo them for Stampin' Up!

After showing the idea in the video, I did a tutorial video to make a cute Valentines Plate Card. I know this is not the right time for Valentine products, but these cards should be made ahead and used all  year. Besides, I just really like this design. Here  is the finished product.

How cute is that? Here's the tutorial:

I also made two other videos showing techniques used in the making of this Plate Card. I didn't want the tutorial video to be too long, so I did a video on how to tie the perfect knot in Stampin' Up! ribbon. If your knot tying skills are good then you wouldn't need to watch the video, but if not, then it is there for you to see. It will also be linked to other videos that require ribbon in the future.

Here is the ribbon knot tying video:

The last video I made was to show a technique used to emboss the border around  the  Plate Card. I used the Framed Tulips Embossing folder for the border, but the folder is larger than the project. So I show you how to use it to emboss the border properly. Again, it is a pretty simple technique, but if you are having trouble with this type of work, then it may be of help to you. Again, I am sure this technique will be used in the future so the one video can be linked to any future tutorials which will help to shorten their length.

As always, please subscribe to my YouTube channel and leave any comments.  I would love to hear from you by email too with any comments or suggestions. If you  like the ideas shown, please feel free to visit my Stampin' Up! store to purchase the items needed to make them or email me and I will contact you to take your order.

Thanks for watching, I hope you like my tutorials and again, I would love to hear from you with any comments or suggestions.

Happy Stamping!

My second YouTube Video. Thank You Card.

Hi gang. We worked hard today trying to rig an overhead boom to shoot video from. My husband finally  figured it out and  it works really well. He took his monopod and strapped it to a stroboframe he used to use for his photography. The stroboframe has an arm that  pivots. He was able to connect it to the tripod then run  the monopod over my head with the camera hooked to it. It isn't fancy, but it works. I think the quality of the video is a lot better too.

Today I made a Thank  You Card:

I had so much fun designing this one. I just love the  buttons from Stampin' Up! and use them a lot in my scrapbooking and card making.

Here is the video and recipe for the card below. Please share it and  'Like' it if you think it's cute.

My husband, God love him, he's been painstakingly transcribing what I say in the video's and making a word document of the transcription. He then added closed captioning to the videos. He  thinks there may be some hearing impaired people that would love to follow along. I think there are probably some, but I bet others will just turn the sound  off and read the  closed captioning to keep from bothering others in the room. It's a pretty nice feature.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you love the video's. Feel free to comment and let me know if you like overhead better than over the shoulder or if it just doesn't matter.

We shot the first YouTube video

Hi gang. We finally made the first YouTube  video and got it posted yesterday. It was a Father's Day Card and I think it came out pretty well. It says You mean the  world 2 me, Happy Fathers Day. This one didn't come out perfectly, I can see the two colors of cardstock don't meet exactly at the bottom, but I still like it. Hope you do too.

We shot this video from a  tripod over my left shoulder. Several other Stampin' Up! demonstrators on YouTube  shoot like this also, but we are trying to figure out how to shoot from overhead. I like that point of view better for these demo's.

Please watch the video either below or on YouTube. If you like it, I would appreciate a 'Like'. Also please subscribe to my channel.

I plan to Pin all of these  to  Pinterest as well. If you could repin them on Pinterest and share the video's on your Facebook wall for all of your friends, I bet I could get thousands of page views in short order. I appreciate all of your help.

This is where it begins.

Hi everyone. I'm Sandra Mullinax and I live in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I have been scrapbooking for several years now and just love it. It has led to other paper crafting hobbies including card making and stamping. I have recently become a Stampin Up Independent demonstrator. This blog will mostly be used to show my designs and crafts but may include personal content from time to time.

I have created a YouTube channel TurtleTimeStamping where I will be posting videos of my crafting. I will be giving step by step instructions on how to make the projects including exactly which products were used in case you would like to purchase them from my  Stampin Up  website.

I also have a Facebook business page on which I will share everything I post so you can see the projects and other posts in your  Facebook timeline. Please go to my YouTube channel and Facebook page and subscribe and like so you can get the updates as they post.

I will be starting to upload  YouTube videos within the next day or so, but will probably start posting  pictures of my scrapbooking designs  used in my family scrapbooking. They will  give you an idea of the kinds of designs you can expect, but don't box me in because I will surprise you from  time to time.
